5:23 p.m. - 2009-08-20 • Set a target for yourself. Whether you intend to lose 5 pounds or fit into size 4 jeans, fix a time frame and then when you achieve that target, reward yourself by buying some new clothes or dining at your favorite restaurant.• Get a workout buddy or support buddy. Find someone with similar goals and to support and keep you on track with your weight loss goals. • Avoid people who discourage you. Surely do this if you can. If you cannot, at least talk to them about how their attitudes are affecting your progress. • Use variety. Repetitiveness can be a motivation killer for sure. You do not have to take an orange in your breakfast regularly or do the same exercises five days a week. Add variety to your weight loss program to keep it interesting.• Take pictures. Take a picture of yourself in shorts and after a few weeks of following your weight loss program, take another picture and compare the two. It can be a good motivational tool when you see the difference.• Find a motivational picture. Go through magazines or look online to choose a figure that you would like to have. Hang it in your washroom or above your fridge and look at it daily. Imagine yourself looking like the person in that picture. When you are working out and getting tired, think of that picture and push yourself to exercise hard to reach that figure.• Take services of a personal trainer. A personal trainer can provide you with a lot of support and inspiration. If you are answerable to someone and take 2 to 3 per week exercise sessions with him or her you can easily stay motivated and resolute. The above mentioned tips should surely help you to stay motivated to accomplish your weight loss goals. However, in case you slip up and quit at any point you should not get discouraged. 0 comments
